Concept, Text, Direction, Video / Costume Design by Choy-Ping Ní Chléirigh-Ng 吳彩萍

    18th to 26th May 2024

    NGO DEI Gallery, The Hague

The exhibition "Home Ideal 2024" will be held from May 18 to May 26 at the new location of the NGO DEI Gallery in The Hague, Netherlands, for a period of ten days. On May 25, there will be an opening ceremony for the gallery's inauguration, along with an artist gathering. This exhibition is not only the cornerstone of the inaugural "ImagiNation: Hong Kong in Exile" cultural and artistic symposium but also provides an opportunity for Hong Kong artists scattered around the world to share their creations. Free entry.

Documentation from WINDOW A WORLD will be featured as part of the exhibition. This marks the first sharing of my theatre making internationally and in a gallery context.

The exhibition and symposium are supported by: Nieuwspoort, NGO DEI, Netherlands for Hong Kong, C&G Artpartment, Amnesty International Student Group in the Hague, Limestone Books and Trinity Centre for Resistance Studies.

WINDOW A WORLD was originally a European Art Commission through Be SpectACTive!, a large-scale European cooperation project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. Co-produced by BUDA and Dublin Theatre Festival.

    Situationship [sich-oo-ey-shuhn-ship]

Definition: A situationship is a romantic or sexual relationship that is undefined and noncommittal.

People in a situationship are more than friends but less than committed romantic partners. Following a three month affair between two anonymous men, Boyfriends charts the ups and downs and roundabouts of a modern situationship. As they swing through four million one hundred and ninety one thousand possibilities of what they might mean to one another, through time, sex, Madonna songs, nightclubs, period dramas and calorie counting, Boyfriends asks us to ponder on that age old question: what the f*ck is romance anyway?
